... almost two months have passed since our matriarch — Queen Mom, Mrs. Know-It-All, Miss Jack-of-all-Trades, the most amazing mother dog, teacher, dog show enthusiast, and passionate tracking dog — spread her wings and took flight. Even now, a deep, sharp pain washes over me whenever I think of her, speak of her, or — yes — try to write about her...

Bonnie lived a very long and deeply fulfilling life. She was born into our hands right here, and she left this place in our hands, too, after sharing more than fifteen wonderful years together. 

Bonnie wanted to stay with us forever. Right up to her last breath, you could sense that the idea of ​​leaving us simply never crossed her mind. And in a way, she hasn't left yet. She is not merely a memory, but a presence close by — and yet, impossibly far away. That is what made it so difficult for me to write an obituary for her and place her in the "In Memoriam" section of our website.

The final months and weeks were not easy — often sad, indeed — but they were filled even more with Bonnie’s love for life, for us, and for *everything*. Thank you, Bonnie, for being part of our lives!
